The Queensland Government is currently reviewing the South East Queensland regional plan, and is calling for ideas to ensure the plan reflects the values and needs of the community.

While this consultation is about regional planning, it presents opportunities for younger generations to emphasise outdoor recreation/education, the importance of access to places and the value of connectivity between communities.

At this event, I was fortunate enough to present to the Honourable Jackie Trad on behalf of the 'country' region.

Social Lightscape Design
The Configuring Light research group (http://www.configuringlight.org/) at the London School of Economics has developed the workshop series aimed at design and architecture students and professionals that fosters social research skills and awareness within lighting design and planning.
In this workshop, participants were guided through a practical approach to social research in design, exploring Brisbane's West End, in order to help designers develop a more structured understanding of the social spaces they intervene in through their design work.
